About Us

Paradisus Dei (Latin for the Paradise of God) was founded in 2001 by Steve Bollman to help families discover the superabundance of God within marriage and family life. Since its inception, Paradisus Dei has grown rapidly (largely by word of mouth), establishing itself as a large nationwide ministry. It has particular strengths in developing compelling programming and helping individuals discover the presence of God in the midst of communion.

Independent research by a Faith Advisor to The Gallup Poll has identified Paradisus Dei programming as some of the most life transforming programming ever studied. These programs integrate the teachings of the Church, with the findings of modern science and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of the human person fully alive. These programs are committed to encountering people wherever they are in their spiritual journey and leading them to a better place.

Paradisus Dei seeks to gather people together so that they may experience God present in their midst. These gatherings include conferences, the celebration of sacraments and pilgrimages to some of the most spiritually significant places relating to the Holy Family.

Paradisus Dei includes four ministries designed to touch every person in the family. That Man is You! (TMIY) helps men to become “a man after God’s own heart” within the context of their lives as husbands and fathers. She Shall Be Called Woman (SHE) gazes upon true feminine genius to help women discover their unfathomable dignity. The Choice Wine helps couples to discover God’s presence within their marriages and family life. Life as Epic is specifically designed to help youth discover their indispensable role in creating a new springtime for Christianity and larger culture.

Paradisus Dei is an independent lay Catholic ministry. It has the endorsement of numerous bishops, priests and deacons including our local ordinary, His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, Archbishop of Galveston-Houston. Paradisus Dei is an IRS 501(c)3 nonprofit, tax exempt organization governed by an independent Board of Directors.
